Arequipa City Tour + Santa Catalina Monastery
At the indicated time we begin the city tour of Arequipa, we will have a view of the city from the viewpoints of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara. (Viewpoint and Church), from where we can observe beautiful landscapes surrounded by the Chachani, Misti and Pichu Picchu volcanoes, and its beautiful Campina formed by its Pre-Inca terraces.
Then we will continue towards the district of Yanahuara, we will walk through its main square and its church from 1750, with a baroque façade. The most outstanding thing about Yanahuara are its arches where we can see philosophical quotes inspired by the people of Arequipa. After Yanahuara we will return to the main square.
From the Plaza de Armas we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a living example of four centuries of Arequipa architecture, the intrusive cells, the small streets and cloisters full of colorful flowers and the walls painted in fresh colors.
Continuing with the Arequipa Architecture we will continue with the visit of the Jesuit Church of the Company, with a façade of mestizo architecture, its cloisters and dome and we will finish our Visit with the Casona de Tristán del Pozo.
The Plaza de Armas in Arequipa is one of the most beautiful in Peru, with a very white tone surrounded by beautiful palm trees that will envelop you in a beautiful sunset and dusk.
