Itinerary – Machu Picchu Full Day from Cusco
04:00 am – Hotel Pick-Up in Cusco
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco very early in the morning to begin this incredible experience to Machu Picchu. We will travel by tourist transportation from Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Train Journey to Machu Picchu Pueblo
Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo train station, we will board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, where you will enjoy beautiful views of the Andes Mountains, the Urubamba River, and the cloud forest area.
Arrival in Aguas Calientes
Upon arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo, our professional guide will be waiting for you at the train station to provide all the necessary instructions. Then we will go to the bus station to board the bus that will take us to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu. The bus ride takes approximately 35 minutes.
Guided Tour in Machu Picchu – Panoramic Route (Circuit 1B)
During this experience, we will visit Machu Picchu through the Panoramic Route – Circuit 1B Upper Terrace, one of the most recommended circuits for travelers who want to enjoy the classic panoramic view of Machu Picchu and capture the famous postcard photo from the upper terraces.
During the guided tour, we will visit:
- Guardian House
- Upper terraces
- Agricultural terraces
- Panoramic viewpoints of the citadel
The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
Free Time in Aguas Calientes
Return Train to Ollantaytambo
At the scheduled time, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to transfer you back to the city of Cusco.
18:30 – 22:30 pm – Arrival in Cusco
The arrival time in Cusco will depend on train schedules and will be approximately between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm. Transfer to your hotel.
