Itinerary – Palomino Islands Sea Lion Tour
At 10:00 AM, we will meet on La Mar Street in Callao to board our speed boat, which will take us to explore the beautiful islands of Callao and enjoy a unique experience in the Pacific Ocean.
During the trip, we will navigate the South Pacific Ocean, where we can observe rocky formations, marine birds, and traditional fishing boats. We will pass by El Camotal, a former island that sank after a strong earthquake, and whose remains can still be seen during low tide.
We will then continue to San Lorenzo Island, known as the “mysterious island” due to its history and strategic location. This island is home to a naval base, ancient soldier cemeteries, and more than 20 pre-Inca archaeological sites, making it a place full of history and mystery.
During the boat journey, we will also see El Frontón Island, famous for the prison of the same name, and the Cavinzas Islands, a group of rocky islands with natural caves and grottos inhabited by an important colony of seabirds and Humboldt penguins.
Finally, we will arrive at the Palomino Islands, where we will sail around the islands to observe the ecosystem of guano birds and the impressive colony of more than 8,000 sea lions that live in this area. Then, the boat will stop near the shore so passengers who wish can swim with the sea lions, a unique and unforgettable experience.
After exploring the islands of Callao and enjoying the marine wildlife, we will return to the port. The tour ends at approximately 1:00 PM at the same starting point in Callao.
