DÍA 1:Tours Isla Del Callao
At 10:00 a.m. we will meet at Calle La Mar to board our speed boat that will take us to explore the islands of Callao.
On the trip, we will explore the South Pacific Ocean and enjoy beautiful rocks and fishing activities. We will pass by El Camotal, an island that sank into the water after an intense earthquake and whose remains can be seen during low tides.
San Lorenzo is an island that has earned the nickname “mystery island” due to its popularity. In addition to being home to a naval base, it also houses cemeteries of Chilean soldiers and has more than 20 pre-Inca archaeological sites.
The boat trip will allow us to observe the island of El Fronton, known for its prison of the same name that was used to incarcerate members of the Shining Path in the 1980s. We will also have the opportunity to admire the Cavinzas Islands, a group of islands and rocks with natural caves and grottos inhabited by a large colony of Humboldt penguins.
We will take a tour around the Palomino Islands to closely observe the pristine ecosystem of guano birds and the incredible colony of more than 8,000 sea lions that reside in this region. Afterwards, we will stop near the shore for those who want to swim and play with these friendly animals.
After a boat tour of the Callao Islands, we will return to the mainland. The tour will end at the same place where it started, in Callao, at 1:00 pm.
