ATV tour Maras Moray – Salineras 1/2 day

• If you plan to visit the Sacred Valley and Maras Moray on consecutive days, it is only necessary to purchase the Partial tourist ticket as it is valid for 2 days.

Maras Moray:

It is located about 7 km southwest of Maras. These are gigantic natural holes in the surface of the ground that were used to build terraces or agricultural platforms with their respective irrigation channels. It is known as a biological experimental station that was quite advanced for its time and that helped the inhabitants of that time.

Salineras: “salt mines”.

Made up of about 3000 small wells with an average area of ​​about 5 m², in times of drought they are filled or “irrigated” every 3 days with salt water that emanates from the earth’s surface located at the top of the wells, so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it gradually solidifies, later the salt is beaten and thus granulated.
Finally we will return to the city of Cusco at approximately 2:30 pm.
