Day 1: Reception Apt – Hotel.
According to your scheduled time, you will be picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel in Arequipa.
Then as scheduled you will be picked up from your hotel in Arequipa by our local guide,
Later we will go to the historic center of Arequipa where we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina . The most important for being an example of four centuries of Arequipa architecture. In addition to its small streets and cloisters full of colorful flowers and walls painted in fresh colors.
Next we will go to the main square of Arequipa, one of the most beautiful in Peru. Then we will go to the Jesuit Church of the Company, which in its beautiful façade announces the so-called mestizo architecture, its cloisters and dome, the Tristán del Pozo mansion.
Day 2: Heading to the Colca Canyon
Trip to the Colca Canyon.
At 07:00 am Pick up at the hotel and departure from Arequipa towards the Colca Canyon . We head along the paved road towards Yura, crossing Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas. Observing the incompatible South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and migratory birds.
After arriving at Vizcachani, we enjoyed a coca tea to acclimatize our bodies to the altitude. Continuing with the tour, we appreciated the tocjras, small lagoons and boxwoods and at the same time observed some migratory birds such as flamingos and ibis. Continuing, we reached the highest point of the route, Patapampa, also called the viewpoint of the Volcanoes, since from there you can see the volcanic chain in particular: Hualcahualca, Sabancalla and Ampato, and then descend to the town of Chivay (3600 m). Lunch and accommodation at the hotel.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Calera Hot Springs ( hotel in Chivay ), where we will stay for approximately two hours. These hot springs have thermal medicinal waters that exceed 40 °C, good for physical ailments.
Day 3: Colca Canyon Tour / Condor Viewpoint
Visit Colca Canyon.
In the morning at 5:30 am we will have breakfast at the hotel. Then we will leave for the Colca Canyon and Cruz del Cóndor tour, where we will stay for approximately 2 hours. This is a place where you can fully appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon and also the flight of the Condor at short distance.
On the way back we will observe archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, in the latter we will make a stop, where we will be able to observe its typical churches, its craft center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others.
Arrival in Chivay and lunch.
17:00 approx. Arrival in Arequipa.
Day 4: Sillar Route + Culebrillas Ravine
We start our excursion according to the scheduled time.
First we will visit the Mirador de Zamacola, in the district of Cerro Colorado. From here we can also observe the majesty of the tutelary volcanoes of Arequipa, El Misti, El Chachani and Pichu Pichu. We will also be able to see beautiful sculptures based on ashlar that reflect the history of Arequipa.
Añashuayco Quarries.
Continuing on, we will head northwest of Arequipa to the district of Uchumayo. From the foot of the Nevado Chachani, the Añashuayco Quarries, also called “Quarry of Sillar”, extend for 18 km. This place was created in the Middle Pleistocene era, more than three million years ago.
Culebrillas Ravine.
Next we will go along a horseshoe path towards the Culebrillas ravine, formed by the erosion of the river. The name comes from the fact that it is a zigzag ravine, where we can also see cave paintings made thousands of years ago. This is a virgin quarry composed of ashlar and rocks.

At the end of the service you will be transferred to the hotel and free afternoon to enjoy the beauty of Arequipa
Day 5: Transfer hotel - airport Arequipa
After breakfast, depending on the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport or bus station.
