Day 1: Cusco – Abra Malaga – Santa Maria
After having received the instructions from our tour guide the day before, we will begin the great day of the tour at 6:00 am to 7:00 am, with pick up from your accommodation, to be able to take our tourist transport towards the route of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, We will pass through beautiful landscapes that lead to this beautiful valley until we reach Ollantaytambo.
In Ollantaytambo after a short rest we will begin the journey towards Abra Málaga (4350m /14271), where we will prepare to begin our first great adventure through the high jungle of Cusco.
Our guide will remind us of the safety measures to take, as well as instructions on the route we will take, then give us our cycling equipment and begin the descent on our mountain bikes.
Our tour will be a 60km Mountain Biking trip, from Abra Málaga to the archaeological site of Huamammarca, here we will return to the bus until we reach Santa Maria (1430m / 4691 ft) where we can have lunch. In the afternoon we can optionally do Rafting on the Rio Blanco and enjoy beautiful landscapes.

Day 2: Santa Maria – Quellomayo – Santa Teresa
We wake up around 6:00 a.m. to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterward, we will start our hike along the riverbank before beginning an ascent that will take us approximately 2 hours. During this hike, we will pass by small family homes, giving us a glimpse into local life.
Along the way, we will admire the rich flora and fauna of the region, including coffee and coca plantations, as well as fruit trees such as mango, orange, banana, avocado, and Mazasamba. Once we reach the summit, we will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Bajo Urubamba Valley. We will also encounter parts of an original Inca trail, connecting us with the region’s historical heritage.
Continuing our trek, we will arrive at the charming village of Quellomayo, where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will head to the relaxing Cocalmayo hot springs. After a refreshing soak, we will continue our hike for about 40 more minutes until we reach the village of Santa Teresa (1540 meters above sea level), where we will have dinner and spend our second night.
Day 3: Santa Teresa – Machu Picchu Town
On this day, we will embark on a hike lasting approximately 6 hours, divided into two segments of 3 hours each. During the first segment, we will encounter beautiful waterfalls fed by glaciers before reaching Hidroeléctrica, where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon, we will continue our trek along the railway track until we arrive at the village of Machupicchu, commonly known as “Aguas Calientes.” Here, we will enjoy dinner and spend our final night at the base of the Machupicchu Historic Sanctuary.
*On this day, we also offer an adventure option: a canopy (zip-line) tour. This thrilling activity takes place about 15 minutes from Santa Teresa and lasts approximately 2 hours, featuring 5 different zip-lines. After completing this adventure, we will take transportation to Hidroeléctrica to join the group that has continued hiking.
Day 4: Machu Picchu (Lost City of the Incas)
At 4:30 a.m., we will begin our hike to the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary, which will take approximately an hour and a half. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to witness the sunrise over the majestic mountains.
Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, we will have a guided tour lasting about two hours, exploring the main highlights of the archaeological site. After the tour, you will have free time to explore on your own and take photos, based on the departure time of your return train.
We will take the tourist train from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Ollantaytambo, and from there, a tourist bus will transport us back to the city of Cusco.
We offer two options for returning to Cusco after visiting Machu Picchu.
