Day 1: Pillones Waterfall Tour
First at 6:30 am we will start with pick up from your hotel (hotels within the historic center), then we will leave towards the Arrieros plain (3900 meters above sea level) and Patahuasi, the coldest area of Arequipa, where the Llamas “South American camelids” are housed.
At 10:30 am we will arrive at the Pillones Waterfall located in the Imata forest. Then we will begin the walk of about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the place we will enjoy a beautiful landscape and waterfalls. Here we will also observe stones shaped by the erosion of the water, and also the Viscachas.
Continuing on our way back, we will also visit the stone forest (4100 meters above sea level), a beautiful landscape that consists of a set of rocks like natural stone columns in the form of various silhouettes of prehistoric animals that take on the appearance of a mysterious enchanted forest.
We will have enough time to have lunch. Continuing on, we will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca Reserve, where the South American Camelids are found: Alpaca, Vicuña and Llamas.
