Day 1: Uros Taquile Island
We will begin by visiting the Uros Islands by taking a comfortable boat from the port of Puno for about 30 minutes. After visiting 2 floating islands, we will continue the trip to the island of Amantani (2 ½ hours). We will arrive around noon, where we will be cordially welcomed by local families.
Together with local families we will hike to the local houses on Amantani Island, where we will have lunch with typical Andean food from the island. After settling in and resting, we will hike to the top of the island to visit the Inca ceremonial temples of Pachamama and Pachatata.
After enjoying the beautiful views of the lake and its splendor, we will wait until sunset to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Finally, we will return to have dinner in the local houses. During the evening, the families will organize a welcome party (optional) where we can dance and dress in local clothing, all accompanied by local musicians.
Day 2: Amantani Island
We start the day with a typical breakfast and then descend to the port of Amantani (8 am), we will take our boat to TAQUILE ISLAND, we will walk uphill to the main square, from where we can observe the island and learn more about the customs and textiles of the island, after lunch we will descend to the port of Amantani to return to Puno.
