Day 1: Trek to Colca Canyon
We start at 3:00 am to 3:30 am with pick up from the hotel to begin our services to the Colca Canyon (within the historic center).
Upon arrival in Chivay we will have breakfast. Afterwards we will continue towards Cruz del Cóndor.
After watching the flight of the Condors and taking a short break, we will continue to Cabanaconde at approximately 11:00 am. We will continue our journey at 3,280 meters above sea level. After three and a half hours of walking we will arrive at the first community of San Juan de Chuccho, descending approximately 1,000 meters.
After our lunch in Chuccho we will continue the walk for another hour and a half until we reach the community of Cosñirhua (2,660 masl). Here we take a short break, and continue the walk until we reach Sangalle or also known as the Oasis (1,160 masl) where we will enjoy our free time and swim in a cool 20 ºC pool.
After a restful sleep we will have dinner and spend the night in bungalows.
Day 02: Trek to Colca / Return to Arequipa
We will get up very early at 5:00 am to begin the hike up to the town of Cabanaconde for approximately three hours, breakfast in Cabanaconde, and then we will head to the district of Chivay, where we will go to the La Calera thermal baths where we can enjoy its relaxing waters.
After a rest and a delicious lunch we return to the city of Arequipa. Continuing along the road we will have the opportunity to visit the MIRADOR DE LOS ANDES and the SALINAS Y AGUADA BLANCA NATIONAL RESERVE. Later we arrive at the city of Arequipa, which we will reach at approximately 6:00 p.m.
