Experiencing the majesty of Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Can you imagine arriving at the heart of the Inca empire on a luxury train? We will meet at the Poroy station in Cusco at the appointed time to begin this unforgettable adventure.
Once we are comfortably settled into our seats, you will receive a welcome cocktail and we will embark on an unforgettable journey through the Peruvian Andes. In addition to the stunning views, you will be amazed by the interior of this luxurious train. Every detail, from the polished wood to the bronze of the seats, is carefully designed to evoke the elegance of the 1920s. You will feel as if you have stepped back in time!
Before arriving at Machu Picchu, we will enjoy an exquisite gourmet à la carte meal, including starter, main course, dessert and drink. After a three and a half hour drive, we will arrive at Aguas Calientes, where we will take a bus that will take us to the top of the mountain, where the citadel of Machu Picchu is located. Are you ready to witness a sight you will never forget?
Once inside the citadel, we will enjoy a guided tour of between two and three hours, where we will learn about the history, legends and greatness of the Incas. Before concluding, we will stop at the entrance to Machu Picchu to enjoy a comforting afternoon tea in one of the most beautiful hotels in Peru. What more could you ask for?
Finally, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will board the train back to Cusco after a 12-hour excursion full of unforgettable experiences.
We will board the Consettur bus, which will take us to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu where, together with our guide, we will visit the Inca citadel.
Accompanied by our guide, we will visit all the most important sites of Machu Picchu, visiting from the Guardian’s House, a panoramic view of Machu Picchu, as well as the urban, agricultural and religious parts of Machu Picchu. After the visit, we will return to the entrance gate to take the return transport to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
In Machu Picchu Pueblo, we will have time to have lunch and walk around the town until 30 minutes before the train leaves.
At the indicated time you will board the train to Machu Picchu heading to Ollantaytambo where our transfer will be waiting to take you to the city of Cusco.
