Day 1: Cusco – Tinqui – Upis
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 06:00 am and travel by private van for approximately two hours to the village of Tinqui. Here, you will have the opportunity to see local people wearing their traditional clothing, and your guide will explain the lifestyle and culture of the communities that live in these remote Andean areas.
After this short stop, we will continue by private transportation for about one more hour along a dusty road until we reach Upispampa, where our chef will prepare a delicious breakfast before we begin our hike. The trail includes gradual ascents and descents and takes approximately three hours to reach the campsite.
Along the way, you will cross small streams and pass through remote villages while enjoying spectacular views of the Andes and Ausangate Mountain in the distance. We will finally arrive at the small village of Upis, where we have comfortable cabins for the night. Our cook will prepare a fresh and delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, you will have the option to take a 2-hour round-trip hike to Upis Lake or relax in the natural hot springs near the cabins. After the hike or hot springs, we will have dinner and then enjoy the incredible starry sky of the Andes, a truly unforgettable experience.

We will wake you up at 5:00 am with a cup of coca tea or coffee served in your cabin, followed by a delicious breakfast to start another incredible day on the Ausangate Trek 2 Days. Today will be one of the most scenic days of the trek.
We begin with a short uphill hike of about 20 minutes to a viewpoint where you will see the impressive Ausangate Mountain in all its glory. From this point, we continue hiking through rolling terrain with gradual ascents and descents until we reach the famous 7 Lakes of Ausangate, one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Peruvian Andes.

After exploring the lakes, we descend toward the relaxing Pacchanta Hot Springs, where you can enjoy the natural hot water while admiring the mountains.
