Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado & Caiman Encounter
Your jungle adventure begins upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, Peru’s Capital of Biodiversity. We will greet you at the airport and transfer you to our port office.
From there, we board a motorized boat for a scenic journey down the Madre de Dios River. As we leave the city behind, the sounds and sights of the rainforest will envelop you. Upon reaching our jungle lodge, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing tropical fruit nectar and shown to your private bungalow.
After a delicious lunch, our first excursion on this Peruvian Amazon Tour 5 Days takes us to Cocha Caimán, a small oxbow lake where you’ll observe black caimans and other wildlife. As evening falls, witness a spectacular Amazonian sunset from the riverbank before enjoying a hearty dinner.

Day 2: Apu Victor Lake & Monkey Island
Awake to the exotic sounds of the jungle. After breakfast, we’ll venture deep into the rainforest on a guided trek to the majestic Apu Victor Lake. This pristine oxbow lake is a haven for wildlife.
From a panoramic observation deck, we will spot parrots, macaws, toucans, herons, and with luck, turtles and caimans. The surrounding giant trees and swamps create a truly prehistoric atmosphere. After returning to the lodge for lunch, we embark on an afternoon boat trip to Monkey Island.
This sanctuary is home to several species of primates, including capuchin and squirrel monkeys, which you can observe in their natural habitat.

Day 3: The Lost Cocha & Ethnobotanical Exploration
Following breakfast, our expedition continues to the mystical Cocha Perdida (Lost Cocha). This protected ecosystem is a sanctuary for a vast array of wildlife, including giant otters, anacondas, and diverse bird species.
We will climb an observation tower that provides breathtaking views over the immense swamp and jungle canopy. Your native guide, a true guardian of this forest, will share ancient stories and ecological knowledge about this magical place.
