Maras Moray ATV Tour Itinerary
The Maras Moray ATV Tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco at 7:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., depending on your selected departure time. From there, we travel approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to the community of Cruz Pata, where our ATV base camp is located.
Upon arrival, you will receive a brief safety briefing and a 10 to 15-minute practice session to become familiar with operating the ATV. Our professional team will provide all necessary instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Once ready, we begin our ATV adventure ride toward the impressive circular terraces of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural experimentation center. The ride lasts approximately 45 minutes along scenic rural trails surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes. At Moray, you will enjoy a guided visit to learn about the history and significance of this remarkable archaeological site.
After the guided tour of the fascinating Moray terraces, we return by ATV to our base in Cruz Pata. From there, we continue by tourist transportation to the famous Maras Salt Mines, also known as the salt ponds. This extraordinary site features more than 3,000 salt pools that have been used since pre-Inca times and remain active today.
At the Maras Salt Mines, you will admire the stunning white landscape contrasting beautifully with the mountains of the
Sacred Valley of the Incas, while learning about the traditional salt extraction process. After the visit, we return by transportation to the city of Cusco, concluding an unforgettable experience that combines ATV adventure, Inca history, and spectacular Andean scenery.
