The Ministry of Culture has approved an updated pricing structure for Machu Picchu and other archaeological sites, effective January 1, 2024. As one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a top destination for both international and domestic travelers, Machu Picchu will now operate under a revised ticketing system.
Your entry to Machu Picchu grants access to over 150 structures within the historic sanctuary. Highlights include the Guardian’s House, Inca terraces, agricultural zones, religious centers, tombs, and a well-defined urban area—many of which still hold mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
The Ministry of Culture is responsible for regulating ticket prices for archaeological sites and museums. Rates are evaluated annually based on technical criteria and apply to foreign visitors, Peruvian nationals, and citizens of the Andean Community. Promotional rates are also available for students and university attendees.
